Cleadon Methodist Church is located in the centre of Cleadon Village. It was established in 1899 and is a lively worshiping community. The regular congregation of 35 – 40 people encompasses a wide range of age groups including young people and children.
Sunday Morning Worship (10.45am) enjoys a group of able musicians and use of modern technology and there is a well-established Junior Church which meets every Sunday morning during Morning Worship. The children and young people share fellowship and explore the foundations of Christian learning. They then share their experiences with the congregation towards the end of Morning Worship.
The Church Community enjoys fellowship together through monthly Coffee Mornings, Messy Church, Junior Club, House Groups and Fellowship Groups.
There are also strong ecumenical Links with the local Anglican Church of All Saints.
The Church premises are widely used by the local community for parties, children’s groups, sports activities and interest groups.
Weddings and Baptisms take place by arrangements with the two Ministers.
A warm welcome is always extended .
